Zack Sabre Jr. Tells Bryan Danielson He’ll “End Your Career”

Bryan Danielson AEW

Zack Sabre Jr. has some strong words for Bryan Danielson ahead of WrestleDream.

Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. are finally going to get their hands on one another again at AEW WrestleDream on October 1st after The American Dragon called his shot to face the NJPW World Television Champion on Collision. Tony Khan soon made the match official.

Speaking to the media after TMDK defeated CHAOS on night three of the Road to Destruction tour, Zack Sabre Jr. took the opportunity to address Bryan Danielson:

“Dragon bollocks. Bryan Danielson. About bloody time, about bloody time. I’ve been waiting mate, I have been waiting. I can’t think of a better time, a better place than WrestleDream. October 1st, the whole event is in honour of Antonio Inoki. I can’t think of a better way to honour Inoki-san than to find out who the best technical wrestler in the world really is.

“Bryan, you are one of the greatest wrestlers who’s ever lived but I surpassed you yonks ago dickhead, yonks ago. So Bryan in 2008 you helped to kickstart my career, darling I got some bad news for you, you don’t have another year left. 2008 you jumpstarted Zack Sabre Jr., in 2023 Bryan, I end your career. See you in Seattle dickhead.”

Have Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. wrestled before?

As Zack Sabre Jr. alluded to in his remarks, the two men have shared the square circle before with the first meeting between them coming in 2008 in Coventry, England. Danielson defeated Sabre Jr. 2-1 in a two out of three falls match before the two technicians met again in 2009, this time with Zack Sabre Jr. picking up the win.

Both men were originally set to collide at the original Forbidden Door show in 2022 but an injury suffered by Bryan Danielson put a stop to that. Instead, Zack Sabre Jr. took on a debuting Claudio Castagnoli on that show with Castagnoli picking up the win.
