The Usos could have a very busy week ahead as they have two tag team title defenses coming up on WWE’s two biggest television shows, but they have to win the first match to get the second match.
It was on the November 11th edition of Smackdown when The Usos retained the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against The New Day to set the record as the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history. The Usos started their Smackdown Tag Team Title reign at Money in the Bank in July 2021 and have held those titles for more than 500 days.
On the May 20, 2022, episode of SmackDown, The Usos also defeated Randy Orton & Riddle to win the Raw Tag Team Titles, which made them the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. That means The Usos have held both sets of WWE Tag Team Titles for over six months.
This coming Monday, December 5th on Raw from Washington, D.C., The Usos will have to defend their Tag Team Titles against the team of Matt Riddle and Elias, who have recently picked up some victories as a duo.
While The Usos should be able to get by Riddle and Elias, they will have a much more difficult test on Smackdown against a team that beat them on the November 25th edition of Smackdown, Drew McIntyre & Sheamus. That match was a non-title spot for the WarGames Advantage while the next time they meet, the Tag Team Titles are on the line.
When Sami Zayn of The Bloodline faced Sheamus in the opening match on the December 2nd Smackdown, Jimmy Uso distracted the referee while Jey Uso went into the ring and hit Sheamus with a superkick. Zayn capitalized on the cheating for the win. Later in the show, Sheamus beat up both Usos with his shillelagh weapon and informed them of their title defense next week on Smackdown.

As noted above, The Usos will have to beat Riddle & Elias on Raw to get to that Smackdown Tag Team Title match against Sheamus & McIntyre. If Riddle & Elias win the WWE Tag Team TItles on Raw, then they would be the ones to defend the titles against Sheamus & McIntyre. It should be a big week ahead for tag team wrestling in WWE.
