A WWE Hall of Famer highly praised the former Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, for his new role while he is out of action. The legend in question is Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley).

Kevin Owens wrestled his last match against Sami Zayn at the 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE. Owens has been out of action due to injury, and his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 was also called off because of it. Meanwhile, fans are eagerly anticipating Owens’ return to action, as he has been absent for more than a year.

Amid his in-ring absence, Kevin is in the role of the head coach for the third season of the WWE LFG show alongside Natalya, Booker T, and Bubba Ray Dudley.

WWE legend praised Kevin Owens for his new role

In a recent interview with Forbes, the WWE legend, Bubba Ray Dudley revealed that Kevin Owens has a lot of patience as the head coach in WWE LFG. Bubba also praised Owens’ vision and how he is helping the younger talent:

Kevin has a lot of patience,” said Bubba Ray in an exclusive interview. “Kevin does his best to explain as well as he can. [He explains] His vision, or the lesson he’s trying to get across for the day. I believe that the future greats have enjoyed working with Kevin. Whenever you can get a different perspective, it helps younger talent.”

Bubba further opened up on how Kevin Owens has been a great replacement for the likes of Undertaker and Mickie James from the previous two seasons:

For two seasons, they were around The Undertaker or Mickie James or Michelle McCool. Great wrestling minds, but Kevin is actually doing it right now. He’s in the midst of his career—a very successful career I might add—so he can probably lend some information or teach the future greats some things from the ‘now’ point-of-view. ‘This is what works now in WWE.’”

Bubba Ray Dudley also reflected on his experience working in the third season of WWE LFG:

I very much enjoyed Season 3 because it’s more of a hard-nose, direct approach. I can compare it to the HBO show Hard Knocks where everybody has come together for the common goal of putting the best team on the field and getting each future great ready for getting a phone call in a day that says ‘you’re moving up and moving on,’ or getting a phone call saying ‘you’re going home.’” [H/T Forbes]

It remains to be seen when Kevin Owens will be back in action.
