Why WWE Could Alter Start Time Of Saturday Night’s Main Event
Saturday Night’s Main Event will forever remain in the memories of the WWE Universe as it will always be the show where the Never-Seen 17, John Cena, hung up his wrestling boots.
The promotion is set to host another edition of the show, with it taking place on January 24, 2026, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The show will have a direct impact on the Royal Rumble event next week.
Newly-crowned Undisputed WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, will have his first championship defense at Royal Rumble 2026 and his challenger will be decided in a fatal-four-way at SNME.
WWE might be looking to change the start time of the event
The event is currently slated to start their normal time of 8:00 PM ET, but Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select stated that the promotion contemplated bumping up the start time by an hour.
The main reason behind the discussion was due to UFC’s debut on Paramount+, which is scheduled to take place at 9:00 PM ET on the same day. With both companies falling under TKO control, the move could be made so it doesn’t affect either product.

There were internal discussions about bumping the show up an hour, and the reason all boils down to the UFC’s debut on Paramount Plus.

However, it seems like WWE is going ahead with the original time currently. So far, two matches have been announced for the show. In addition to the number one contender’s match, Rhiyo are set to defend their Women’s Tag Team Titles against Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez at SNME.
