Sheamus suffered a brutal injury amid his current WWE hiatus.

Sheamus is one of the most decorated WWE stars on the roster. He has been with the company for a very long time. During this time, the Celtic Warrior has accomplished everything there is to do. He has won multiple World Titles and is a step away from becoming a Grand Slam Champion.

Although Sheamus is no longer a main event star in WWE, he is still widely loved and respected by the fans. The Irish star suffered a major setback last year when he injured himself. Since then, he has been out of action. Amid his absence from the ring, Sheamus suffered another major setback.

The Celtic Warrior took to Instagram to reveal that he suffered a head injury during a gym session. He posted the photos on the social media platform, which showed him sitting with a towel held against his head while blood dripped down. In another photo, the former World Champion showed the big gash he had suffered as a result of the wound.

Sheamus provided a massive health update amid his WWE hiatus

During an appearance on OTB Football, Sheamus revealed that his shoulder had been bothering him since Clash in Paris, and it got worse over time.

Yeah, this one has been difficult. It kind of came out of nowhere. I started noticing my shoulder around May-June at Clash in Paris against Rusev. It was bothering me and I thought I tore it. I got a couple of shots in there and it felt good for a little while, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me.”

The Irish star added that he tried to push through the pain till it got to the point where he couldn’t move his arms. Hence, he underwent surgery on December 30 and has been rehabbing to get back into the ring.

“I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing. I’m dying to get back in the ring and back to work. I have cabin fever.” [h/t Fightful]

It remains to be seen when Sheamus will return to the ring.
