AEW had a huge night planned for Dynamite tonight as the Summer Blockbuster lived up to its name with some truly exciting matches and segments taking place on the show.

The fans witnessed a major title match tonight, with Jon Moxley defending his Continental Championship against Shane Taylor of promotions. While Moxley did keep hold of his title, it wasn’t a great night for the Death Riders.

Moxley suffered a brutal attack by Taylor following their match while the rest of STP kept the Death Riders out of the ring and took both Daniel Garcia and Marina Shafir out.

Massive Forbidden Door main event announced on AEW Dynamite

While Moxley, Shafir and Garcia were taken out by STP, Pac was preparing for his match with Mark Briscoe, who defeated him after an intense and hard-hitting match. Following his win, Briscoe turned his attention to the AEW World Champion, MJF.

He called out the World Champion and demanded a title shot, but MJF denied Briscoe a shot at his title. As it turns out, Mark had another way to get what he wanted and revealed a conversation he had with Tony Khan regarding MJF’s AEW future.

He revealed that he came to an agreement with Tony Khan for a huge main event clash for Forbidden Door 2026, which is set to take place later this month.

The match will require both Mark Briscoe and MJF to find five more members as the two will meet in a 6 on 6 Steel Cage match at the show, and if Briscoe’s team wins, he earns a shot at the AEW World Championship.
