A former champion has made a huge revelation about her WWE contract.

Alba Fyre wrestled for the WWE for several years. She first started in NXT UK before moving to NXT. During her time on the black and silver brand, she formed an alliance with Isla Dawn called the Unholy Union. The duo were successful and even won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Alba Fyre made it to the main roster along with Isla Dawn. However, they spent most of their time sidelined. Despite this, they were able to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Their partnership ended after Isla Dawn left the sports entertainment juggernaut. Following this, Alba Fyre joined Chelsea Green and Piper Niven to form the Secret Hervice. This role got her a regular spot on TV. However, Alba Fyre was part of the wrestlers let go by WWE a few weeks ago. The former WWE star made a recent appearance at a Pro Wrestling Eve show before her 90-day non-compete clause could expire. She competed in a singles match against Molly Spartan and was victorious. This caused fans to speculate that perhaps Alba Fyre’s contract ended with WWE and she left the company instead of the promotion firing her.

Alba Fyre confirmed that her WWE contract ended

During a recent interview with Daily Star, Alba Fyre confirmed that her contract was coming up and she chose to leave the Stamford-based promotion, which is why she didn’t have to serve her 90-days non-compete clause, which allowed her to show up at Pro Wrestling Eve.

“For me, it happens. There seems to be a pattern with this. My contract was up, and I knew it was coming up, and I had the decision of whether I wanted to stay or not. I know some other people got fired, and they have the 90 days clause, but because of that, cause mine was just a contract ending. It means I didn’t have the 90 days and I was able to come and do this and do it as like kind of surprise, but it wasn’t really a surprise. But yeah, really glad it worked out this way.” [H/T Fightful]

It will be interesting to see what’s next for Alba Fyre now that she is back on the independent scene.
