Chelsea Green Addresses Partner’s Release From WWE: “I’m Sad”
WWE’s recent releases have left fans and some wrestlers distraught, and Chelsea Green has now spoken out over the release of her partner.
WWE has announced the release of a list of stars as part of the talent cuts that have been happening yearly for some time now, immediately after the WrestleMania season. Stars whose contracts expire around this time and wrestlers that WWE is unsure of what to do with creatively get released to cut costs and accommodate new talent.
This year’s list of names had a few surprising ones. The Wyatt Sicks faction, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, and Kairi Sane were all names that many fans and wrestlers didn’t expect would get the boot.
SmackDown’s roster got thinner still with the aforementioned names and then some. Alba Fyre, Chelsea Green’s sidekick, friend, and tag team partner, was surprisingly released as well.
Chelsea Green shared a heartfelt message on X supporting Alba Fyre (Kayleigh Rae or Kay Lee Ray), detailing her fearlessness and wrestling talent.
You guys didn’t get to see how talented KLR is. I know you saw bits & pieces, but trust me, there’s so much more to her. She’s a fearless wrestler… I’m sad to not have her on my side but this is just the beginning for my girl. Thank you for having my back, Slaygent A. Love you!

Chelsea Green Has Had A Disappointing Year So Far In 2026
With her partner Alba Fyre’s recent release, Chelsea Green’s fortunes seem to be working against her this year.
She lost the United States Championship to Giulia on the first SmackDown of the year. She later suffered an ankle injury during a triple threat match for the #1 contender’s spot for the Elimination Chamber match at the eponymous PLE.
This led her to pull out of her AAA Mixed Tag Team Title match, and her partner, Ethan Page, had to compete with a substitute for Green, and she would lose the belt without even being involved in the bout.
In WWE: Unreal Season 2, Michael Hayes was seen commenting on Green’s position as a mid-carder, controversially saying that she is only there to put over other bigger stars like Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill. Green’s fans and other WWE stars and former wrestlers, such as The Undertaker, strongly disagreed with Hayes’ statements, as they feel Green has the potential to be a top player.
Cheslea Green has been making appearances on SmackDown in a wheelchair and ankle brace to support Alba Fyre during her matches. She even lent her walking boot to Nikki Bella for WrestleMania 42 so that the injured Bella could come out to announce her replacement, Paige.
With her friend Piper Niven out with an injury, and, now with Alba Fyre’s release, their faction, The Secret Hervice, has now effectively been dissolved.
Chelsea Green is currently rehabilitating her ankle injury, and her fans can hope that she returns to the ring sooner rather than later.
