Major Tag Team Officially Splits On WWE SmackDown

WWE’s annual King and Queen of the Ring tournament began this past Monday night on RAW after the brackets of the tournaments were revealed at WWE Clash in Italy’s post-show press conference.

All first-round matches in the tournament were revealed to be fatal-four-way clashes and IYO SKY became the first woman to advance to the Semi-Finals of the tournament after defeating Giulia, Lash Legend and Roxanne Perez.

The first match on WWE SmackDown tonight saw the partners of Perez and Giulia compete in their own Queen of the Ring matches as Raquel Rodriguez and Kiana James took on Jacy Jayne and Bayley in another fatal-four-way.

The Judgment Day member had a clear size advantage over the rest of the women and she dominated much of the match. The other three competitors worked together to take her out, but Raquel managed to stay on her feet.

She was taken out for a little while after all three of them pushed her into the steel steps. However, she came back into the match and cleared the field before almost getting the win with a double cover on James and Bayley.

While Raquel dominated for large parts, all other competitors had their moments in the match, making it an extremely competitive one. Kiana came close to winning after hitting a Dealbreaker on Bayley and followed it up with a standing moonsault.

After Bayley kicked out, Jacy had a tussle with Giulia before Bayley knocked Jayne off the apron. Kiana then rolled Bayley up for the pin and put her feet on the rope for leverage, but Jacy pushed her foot off the ropes.

Giulia then knocked Jayne out of place, but when Kiana looked back she thought tha Giulia cost her the pin. In the chaos, Bayley hit the Roseplant on Kiana before Jacy took her out with an Elbow strike.

Raquel then took advantage of the mess and hit a Pump Kick on Jayne before hitting the Tijana Bomb on James for the win. Following the match, Giulia came to support Kiana, but she shoved her and berated her for ‘betraying’ James. Giulia had enough of her partner’s bickering and attacked James with a flurry of punches, officially ending their association.
