Mercedes Mone has responded to several rumors about her.

Mercedes Mone has been one of the most dominant forces in AEW’s women’s division since she joined the company. She won the TBS Championship and then went on to win several titles across different promotions around the world.

However, she lost the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale a few months ago. Following this, she announced her hiatus from the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, she continued to defend her other titles outside the company. Unfortunately, Mercedes Mone lost all her other titles. Therefore, fans were expecting her to return to Tony Khan’s company. The CEO finally made her return this week on AEW Dynamite as a wild card in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. She defeated Alex Windsor to advance in the tournament. During her absence, there was a lot of speculation about her AEW future. There were also rumors that the former WWE star might be pregnant.

Mercedes Mone finally addressed all the rumors surrounding her

During a recent edition of her Mone Mag newsletter, Mercedes Mone said she is back and feeling better than ever. She also admitted that she’s never had a break for so long that wasn’t injury-related. The CEO also said that she was well aware of all the rumors surrounding her AEW absence. The former TBS Champion debunked the rumors, saying it was nothing.

“I’m back and I feel better than ever. Almost 6 months away. I’ve never had a break that long that wasn’t due to injury and after 16 years it was the first time I got to truly relax and have no worries. While I was gone I saw all the rumors. ‘Oh she’s pregnant.’ ‘Oh contract issues.’ ‘Oh she’s leaving.’ ‘Oh this.’ ‘Oh that.’ Oh… NOTHING.”

Mercedes Mone further expressed frustration about having to deal with these rumors while being away on vacation. She also lashed out at wrestling fans for being impatient instead of just being fully in the moment.

“Can I enjoy my vacation in peace? Can a woman have a period and be bloated? Can I enjoy my time off without speculation and rumors? One thing I also learned is there’s nobody more impatient than wrestling fans. Y’all are the type of people who look up the ending of a movie before finishing it. You love not being surprised. You love not being present and fully in the moment because you’re so caught up in the fantasy.” [H/T Ringside News]

It remains to be seen if Mercedes Mone will be able to win the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
