John Cena has finally pulled the curtain on what happened during his WWE retirement tour. However, his former partner does not believe he was honest.

The Leader of the Cenation sat down with No Contest Wrestling to discuss many topics, including the controversial decisions made during his retirement tour last year.

One of these decisions was him tapping out to Gunther in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The 17-time world champion claimed it was his choice, claiming it led to the birth of Darth Vader.

Although John Cena retired from in-ring competition, he signed a new five-year contract with the Stamford-based company to serve as a WWE ambassador.

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, Cena’s former travel partner, Jonathan Coachman, claimed The Never Seen 17th new deal prevents him from being honest about his retirement tour and admitting that it failed.

I said one the best moves they made, Vince, was signing him to a five-year ambassador deal. Because as long as he’s still with the company, he can’t be honest. Because if he’s being honest, Vince, then he would sit there and say, ‘That year sucked compared to what I had in my mind.’ Don’t you think that’s what he would say? [18:20 onwards]
