WWE Star Tipped To Beat Both Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam
Beating Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns in a lifetime is no mean feat. Let alone beating them on consecutive nights.
WWE SummerSlam is the hottest party of the summer, and the Stamford promotion is actively building towards it. Minneapolis, Minnesota, will be the host of this premium live event on August 1 & 2.
One of the top names on the list guaranteed to make an appearance is Brock Lesnar, who is billed from Minneapolis.
Lesnar shockingly retired at WrestleMania 42 following his squash defeat to Oba Femi. However, on May 18, he made his return, squashing all rumors about him having wrestled in his last match at the Show of Shows.
In doing so, he immediately attacked Femi, leaving him laid out in the ring after hitting four F5s. It subsequently culminated in a match at Clash in Italy, where The Beast Incarnate won, bringing their head-to-head record to 1-1.
Since then, both superstars have teased a decisive match, which could happen at WWE SummerSlam.
Oba Femi Pitched To Beat Brock Lesnar & Oba Femi At WWE SummerSlam
The WWE King of the Ring tournament got underway a couple of weeks ago. With the first round matches taking place in 4-way formats, Oba Femi defeated Penta, Carmelo Hayes, and Solo Sikoa to advance to the semi-finals.
He will next face Dominik Mysterio, who surprisingly emerged victorious over Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest on SmackDown.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, meanwhile, has picked The Ruler to win the tournament.
While speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open, he went a step further and pitched a scenario that could see Femi defeat both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns across two nights at SummerSlam.
I want Oba to win the King of the Ring. Oba wins King of the Ring, and Brock Lesnar absolutely decimates him at that. 10 F5s. So now Oba is gonna go on to face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Oba is so irate about Brock jumping him again; ‘Give me Brock Lesnar on night one’.
If Oba Femi defeats Brock Lesnar, Brock retires, but if Brock Lesnar defeats Oba Femi, Brock gets his number one contender’s shot and goes on to face Roman Reigns Night Two of SummerSlam. What I just laid out gave WWE an opportunity to make Oba Femi their next mega star.
We’ve got a new idea for how to make Oba Femi the next megastar.@davidlagreca1 @bullyray5150 https://t.co/Ro9Guyqh1H#bustedopen247 pic.twitter.com/UNHQgpxTbv

It remains to be seen what path Triple H and his creative team take to make Oba Femi a bigger star than he already is. While beating behemoths like Lesnar and Reigns across two nights could be a way to do it, there are risks involved.
Something of a similar sort happened at 2001 Vengeance, where Chris Jericho beat both The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, resulting in the unification of the world titles.
