Paul Heyman Segment With Rising WWE Star Far From An Accident

A recent Paul Heyman segment could have given a glimpse into the future.

Bron Breakker has enjoyed an impressive start to 2024 and is currently one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions after winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Baron Corbin. The star also replaced Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble after the star’s WWE return was scrapped.

On a recent episode of SmackDown, Breakker came into contact with Paul Heyman backstage. Although the moment was somewhat fleeting, it’s been reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that the pair appearing on-screen together wasn’t an accident.

“It’s been noted with Heyman showing up in the Breakker segment on Smackdown and Breakker doing the “Best spear in the business” T-shirt and gimmick that this could be a subtle start for a program way down the line. Obviously Reigns has programs set up for Rock and Sikoa as well and he only does a few matches per year.”

Meltzer added that Breakker’s recent NXT Tag Team Title win alongside Baron Corbin doesn’t mean his main roster call-up has been slowed down. The second-generation star is expected to be moved on from NXT when his current storyline is complete.

Paul Heyman Sends Warning To Cody Rhodes

Ahead of the February 16th episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman has hyped the return of Roman Reigns and The Rock. Heyman said that now Reigns and Rock are together, The Bloodline is stronger than ever, warning Seth Rollins against being cast into the Ocean of Obscurity after WrestleMania.

It’s been reported that The Rock pitched his own heel turn and an interesting match-up at WrestleMania.
