Nikki Bella Addresses Wrestling Future After WWE Contract Expires
Nikki Bella has addressed her wrestling future after her current WWE contract expires.
Nikki Bella is widely regarded as one of the greatest female performers in the history of the WWE. She played an instrumental role in the women’s revolution in WWE. Nikki and Brie Bella were even inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020.
Nikki Bella made her return to the ring last year. Since then, she has been a regular feature on TV. Her sister, Brie Bella, made her return at the 2026 Royal Rumble. Since then, The Bella Twins have reunited in WWE. The Bella Twins had previously revealed that they signed a two-year deal with the WWE that began at the 2026 Royal Rumble. They were on the path to winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship when Nikki Bella sustained an injury. She was replaced by Paige at WrestleMania 42. Brie and Paige ended up becoming the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Nikki Bella wants to be involved in a meaningful storyline
During an interview with Casino Guru, Nikki Bella said that she isn’t fully decided on whether she will retire after her current deal, since it depends on her body. She said that she wants to elevate the women’s division instead of taking someone else’s spot.
“Never say never. Honestly, it’s all going to depend on my body, how I feel I look in the ring compared to others. I’m the most aware person ever, and I don’t ever want to take spots from people. I am there to elevate, bring equity, and if I feel like I can’t hang, guess what? I’m not going to go hang. I’m not going to go pretend I can. We’ll see how I am at that point in life.”
The WWE Hall of Famer further said that she still wants to improve in the ring and be involved in meaningful storylines. She also said that she would love to be a heel again, but she needs the right story to go with it.
“If it’s a year and a half, I want my wrestling to be better and be at top tier. Now I don’t have that, and I know I can get it there. I want a meaningful story. I’d love to be a heel. I just want to have that type of creative, that story that we used to have. I need that.” [H/T Ringside News]
Nikki Bella says she would love to be a WWE GM after her in-ring career.
“WWE will always be my home, so I always hope to be a part of it in some way. Maybe transition to GM, because I feel like we need some Stephanie McMahon vibes back in there. There’s nothing like a bitchy… pic.twitter.com/wAOKXU0kky
