New NXT Tag Team Champions Crowned At Halloween Havoc

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Arena

The reign of The Family has come to an end as they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship on night one of Halloween Havoc.

Night one of NXT Halloween Havoc saw two championships on the line, two brutal hardcore matches, two NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament finalists named, and one in-ring debut for the brand’s newest star.

Lexis King – formerly known as Brian Pillman Jr. – had his first televised bout since joining WWE as he defeated Dante Chen. Kelani Jordan overcame Arianna Grace while Lola Vice picked up the win over Karmen Petrovic meaning they will now clash in the final of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament on night two of Halloween Havoc on October 31.

Roxanne Perez saw off Kiana James in the Devil’s Playground while Blair Davenport got the better of Gigi Dolin in their Lights Out bout.

The Family of Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo put their NXT Tag Team Championship on the line against Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson. Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail joined Chase U at ringside and Jayne tried to get Chase to bend to her nefarious ways by handing him a weapon late on but he refused to use it.

Despite that, Andre Chase was still able to get the better of Tony D’Angelo, catching him off guard to pick up the pinfall win and bring the NXT Tag Team Championship back to Chase U.

The night’s main event also saw another major title change on the brand as Becky Lynch was defeated by her fellow Irish star, Lyra Valkyria.

Night two of Halloween Havoc will see Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail have the chance to bring even more gold to Chase U as they challenge Chelsea Green and Piper Niven for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
