Major WWE Star Backstage At NXT

A huge WWE star is backstage at NXT.

According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jade Cargill is currently at the Performance Center ahead of the October 24th episode of NXT. There is no word on whether she’ll appear on-screen.

The former AEW star isn’t advertised for the Halloween Havoc special but has been on a tour of WWE’s three brands in recent weeks. This has seen Cargill crossing paths with NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The October 17th episode of the show went off the air with Cargill being shown on a TV screen backstage tapping her watch, hinting that Lynch’s time is ticking.

Halloween Havoc already features a stacked card with Lynch set to defend her NXT Women’s Title against Lyra Valkyria. The Irish star was most recently in action on Raw where she saw off Indi Hartwell.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez takes on Kiana James in a Devil’s Playground Match, Blair Davenport meets Gigi Dolin in a Lights Out Match, and the NXT Tag Team Titles will also be on the line.

The show also plays host to the semi-finals of the Women’s Breakout Tournament.

When Did Jade Cargill Sign With WWE?

WWE announced the signing of Jade Cargill on September 26th, after she let her AEW contract expire. This was despite AEW boss Tony Khan making repeated attempts to get her to sign a new deal.

Cargill is yet to make her in-ring WWE debut but has made fleeting appearances on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
