Mercedes Mone Returns To The Ring

Mercedes Mone

Mercedes Mone is back in the ring, but her next move remains a mystery.

After months on the sidelines, Mercedes Mone looks set to resume her career.

In a new video posted on her YouTube channel, Mone can be seen working out in public for the first time since getting injured back in May.

Mone last wrestled on May 21st at NJPW STRONG Resurgence against Willow Nightingale. However, during the match, the former WWE star suffered what was later revealed to be a broken ankle. According to reports at the time, Mone had been scheduled to win the match, and the newly-created NJPW STRONG Women’s Title before getting injured.

It was recently reported that there are currently no plans in place for Mone to return to Japan.

Mercedes Mone To Follow CM Punk Back To WWE?

Bayley recently hinted that Mercedes Mone could make a stunning return to WWE. The star hasn’t stepped into a WWE ring since walking out during a Monday Night Raw taping on May 16th, 2022. In a post on social media, Bayley shared a photo of herself with Mone, writing: “I’ve always got a plan.”

While a return to WWE would seemingly be a long shot given the circumstances of her departure, Mone has been heavily linked with a move to AEW. Tony Khan has repeatedly talked up the star, and she appeared in the crowd at All In back in August.

Speaking at the Full Gear media scrum, Tony Khan said Mercedes Mone would be a “great addition” to the AEW roster.
