A new update has shed some further light on when Jeff Hardy may return to an AEW ring, hinting that it will be sooner rather than later.

Jeff Hardy was arrested on 13th June 2022, for driving without a license and being three times over the legal DUI limit. It’s believed he was barely responsive at the time of the arrest.

He would go on to be suspended without pay by All Elite Wrestling, and entered a rehab facility. However, it would seem that Jeff Hardy has now turned a corner, with Dave Meltzer reporting in his latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ is expected to leave rehabilitation soon and make a return to the squared circle.

This would also tie in with recent comments from Matt Hardy, who said that an update on his brother was due soon and that it would help make both of their futures with AEW clearer.

Jeff Hardy has been arrested on multiple occasions over DUI, leaving people concerned due to this not being the first incident. He was released by WWE in December 2021 as it was believed he was under the influence, however a subsequent test came back negative. WWE tried to regain his services, however he ended up moving to AEW.

Having competed alongside his brother at Double Or Nothing 2022, there were also concerns that Jeff Hardy may have suffered a concussion and he even commented himself that he did not remember the match.
