One big WWE name was apparently involved in the recent video packages highlighting Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been close friends since both women were part of the MMA world with Baszler picked by Rousey for her team on reality show The Ultimate Fighter.
Although both stars had been kept separate for most of their WWE careers, they began teaming up towards the beginning of 2023 supposedly at the behest of Rousey. They were originally planned to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39 but an injury to the former UFC Champion postponed things.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler did win gold together in May 2023 but lost the championship at Money In The Bank to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez when Baszler shockingly turned on Rousey.
Who was behind the Ronda Rousey/Shayna Baszler video packages?
The two women are on a collision course for SummerSlam where they will meet in an MMA Rules match with this possibly being the last major storyline of Rousey’s WWE career with the star believed to have given the company a “hard out” for her exit.
Video packages have aired recently highlighting the women’s relationship leading to their feud and the PWTorch has now reported that Jeremy Borash and his team produced the videos at the WWE Performance Center with Paul Heyman also there to give input.
Paul Heyman might be Roman Reigns’ wise man on screen but he is also described as a trusted advisor to Ronda Rousey which would explain his involvement and why the videos were so well received.
