Goldberg Makes Interesting Remark About Triple H After WWE Retirement
The WWE Hall of Famer, Goldberg opened up on his past issues with Triple H after retirement.
Bill Goldberg was a top star in WCW back in the late 1990s. He also made his WWE debut in 2003 after WCW went out of business. The former Universal Champion was in a World title feud with The Game during his first run in the Stamford-based promotion.
After his last match against Gunther in July last year, Bill Goldberg announced his in-ring retirement. Meanwhile, the WWE Hall of Famer opened up on his real-life issues with Triple H back in the day.
Speaking with Going Ringside, Goldberg recalled how he and Triple H couldn’t stand each other during their feud in 2003, while taking shots at Hunter, saying he married Vince McMahon’s daughter, but Bill also admitted that The Game is a good guy:
It was different at the time because he and I couldn’t stand each other. And we were both represented by the same agent and we had had a confrontation prior to me going to the WWE and oh, by the way, he was married to Vince McMahon’s daughter,”
So, it was kind of like me walking into an unwinnable situation. But, I think business prevailed and truthfully, at the end of the day, he’s a good guy.” [H/T ITRWrestling]

Goldberg revealed his real-life issue with Triple H two years ago
In an interview over two years ago, Goldberg recalled his real heat with Triple H from his time in WCW and how the situation was uncomfortable during their confrontation before he signed with WWE in 2003:
I think a lot of that between Hunter and myself was real… We had an interaction when I was at WCW leading the charge in New York, at a press event… So I hurt myself, and I know some people that were friends that worked with me were talking to him when he was working at WWE.”
And, he made a comment while I was at home, and I remember it like it was yesterday, and from that second he said I was tanking it or faking it or something, and I wasn’t there for the demise of WCW. How could I? So from then on, I wanted to rip his face off.”
So, we had a confrontation prior to me signing with the WWE. Ironically, we were represented by the same agent. So, it made the situation quite uncomfortable once I signed with the WWE,” Goldberg revealed.
Since his in-ring retirement last year, Goldberg has yet to make an appearance on WWE TV.
