Cody Rhodes must do one thing in WWE, according to a veteran.

The American Nightmare suffered a setback at Night of Champions as he dropped the Undisputed WWE Title in a triple threat match, also involving Gunther. While Rhodes is one of the top babyfaces in the sports entertainment juggernaut, there have been calls from fans to turn him heel.

WWE veteran Eric Bischoff also feels the same. Speaking during a recent edition of the 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff stated that Cody Rhodes needs to turn heel in WWE before it is too late. He mentioned that Rhodes can go back to being a babyface after a run as a bad guy, as “there’s still juice” in that character.

“I think Cody has to turn heel. I mean, I feel that strongly about it because he’s done—he’s played this character out and you’ve squeezed every… No, you haven’t. You’ve still got some juice left in that lemon. Let it go while there’s still juice in it because you can come back to it at some point. So, don’t k*ll it. But he needs that. WWE needs that.”

Eric Bischoff further added that WWE needs a vicious and cheating heel, not a bada** one. A role Cody Rhodes can play very well.

“WWE needs a vicious heel, like a lie, cheat, you know, cheating kind of heel, not a bada** heel. Badass heels aren’t really heels. Those big larger-than-life just monsters that look like they could just rip the head off anybody that steps in the ring with them. Yeah, those are really cool, but they’re not heels. He needs somebody slippery, somebody greasy, somebody that’s credible physically, you know, he can, but prefer the greasy way out.” [H/T: Ringside News]

Cody Rhodes made a confession about WWE star

While speaking on a recent edition of What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Cody Rhodes heaped praise on former women’s champion Iyo Sky.

The American Nightmare claimed that he is “very thankful” if some stars are on a matchcard, with Sky getting a special mention.

“Any time IYO is in the ring. There are cards we have that I’ll look and be very thankful for some of the names, and IYO’s one of them. In a way, it lightens things. ‘Alright, if I blow it, they’re gonna be fine, IYO’s going out there and putting in a shift already, she’s k*lled it.'”

Iyo Sky has already turned heel in WWE before. Could Cody Rhodes also do the same someday? Only time will tell.
