AEW Star Will Ospreay Wants To Headline Special Event

Will Ospreay entrance AEW Revolution 2025

Will Ospreay is dreaming big.

At Revolution 2025, Will Ospreay defeated Kyle Fletcher in a stunningly violent Cage Match to cap off their lengthy rivalry.

The bout was the latest in a long line of highly-acclaimed performances from Ospreay, who has long established himself as one of the best wrestlers on the planet.

Despite this, he’s yet to headline what is arguably AEW’s biggest event of the year, All In. Back in 2023, Ospreay beat Chris Jericho at Wembley Stadium before pinning MJF a year later in the same venue to claim the International Title. So perhaps it’s no surprise that in 2025, the British star is looking to up the stakes.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ospreay was asked what match he wants at All In Texas on July 12, and he said above all else, he’s eyeing the main event.

“I want to be the main event. I want it. The reason why I want it is because I think they trust me and I think the fans trust me with what the presentation and look of AEW should be. That says a lot. I’ve never had that trust. Even when I had it in Japan, they would give me Kobe and Osaka shows where it was 4,000 or 5,000 people.

Ever since I’ve walked in here, I’ve come in with a great attitude, my whole mission is to build a team. I feel like whatever was going on in AEW before I got there, I’ve helped out trying to get everyone on the same page. The only thing I can say is, I think the audience trusts me and I won’t break that trust.”

Will Ospreay Wants To Wrestle AEW’s Main Character

During the same conversation, Will Ospreay revealed that he’d love to face Hangman Adam Page in AEW, describing him as the company’s main character. He said that while they’d briefly crossed paths in a six-man tag team match in Japan, there was so much more left to do.

Ospreay also floated the idea of a match against current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, claiming there’s “meat on the bone” for more singles matches in the future.
