WWE Legend John Cena Confesses: “What I Miss Is…”
WWE legend John Cena has made a huge confession.
John Cena is widely regarded as one of the greatest WWE stars of all time. He was the face of the company for several years and one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling.
John Cena became a household name due to his time in WWE, where he was a 17-time World Champion. During his time in the company, Cena managed to accomplish everything there was to do. Eventually, he became one of the most polarizing stars in the business. Over the past several years, Cena has been transitioning into his new role as an actor. Therefore, he decided to compete in his final WWE match last year at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he lost to Gunther. Since then, Cena has made appearances at WrestleMania 42 and Backlash, where he made a huge announcement. Despite his retirement, fans still want him to return to the ring for one more match.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena said that he still misses the audience and the energy of the crowd, but he had to retire because he can’t get bodyslammed anymore.
“What I miss is the audience, the energy.
I had to walk away because I can’t get bodyslammed anymore. It was time.”
Cena further added that Tuesdays are great now that he is no longer competing on WWE RAW.
“Tuesdays are great. Tuesdays used to be a little jagged. Little tough.” [H/T WrestleTalk.com]
John Cena revealed what it would take for him to come out of retirement
During a recent appearance at SpaceCon San Antonio, John Cena joked that only Elon Musk can convince him to come out of retirement, but he would have to give up a whole lot of his fortune to do so.
“I’m going to put this in terms the room hopefully understands. I cannot speak in absolutes, I don’t control that. But I think the only person that can convince me to come back given recent events would be Mr. Elon Musk. He’d have to give up a whole lot of his fortune to do so. So, until he does that, I think I’m going to stay retired.” [H/T Fightful]
It will be interesting to see when John Cena makes his next WWE appearance.
