Brock Lesnar Allegedly Refused WWE’s Plans For His Retirement
Brock Lesnar allegedly rejected his initial retirement plans.
Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant forces to ever step foot in a WWE ring. He was even the youngest WWE Champion in history. After his first run with WWE ended, he moved on to the UFC to win the Heavyweight Championship.
In fact, Brock Lesnar is the only person to win the NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Championship, and the UFC Heavyweight Championship. After a successful run in the UFC, Lesnar returned to WWE, where he continued to dominate the squared circle. He was also the first person to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, which showcases his dominance. Currently, Brock Lesnar is near the tail end of his career and may also be looking to retire soon. It was previously reported that Gunther was going to be the one to retire Lesnar. However, WWE may have seemingly changed its plans.
Brock Lesnar doesn’t want Gunther to retire him, according to Vince Russo
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Vince Russo said that Gunther has retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles within the past year. However, WWE has not done anything with him since then. Therefore, he claimed that Brock Lesnar didn’t want to put Gunther over in his retirement match as it would only hurt his character.
“Then we go to Gunther. Gunther is supposed to retire people. You know, he retired John Cena. He retired AJ Styles. And what have, I think Goldberg, didn’t he retire Goldberg too? Is that on the list? And what have they done with Gunther? Absolutely nothing. Which is, it is, I’m assuming, is behind the Brock Lesnar retirement. Because they wanted Brock to put Gunther over, and Brock said no, because you put Gunther over John Cena and then you didn’t do anything with him. So that literally is Brock Lesnar looking to protect his character and protect his money, and I certainly understand that.”
Seeing as to how Gunther has been booked in recent weeks, it is understandable that Brock Lesnar wouldn’t want to lose to him. It remains to be seen who will be Lesnar’s final opponent in WWE.
