AEW Star Suffers Serious Injury At ROH Supercard Of Honor

AEW

ROH Supercard of Honor saw the best of Ring of Honor as well as stars from AEW do battle in an action-packed night of action in Los Angeles, but for one star, the events of the night might see them miss a while from the ring.

Following the tragic passing of ROH Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe, his brother and tag team partner Mark Briscoe announced a Reach For The Sky Ladder Match that would crown new ROH Tag Team Champions while he kept the legacy of Dem Boys going strong as a singles star.

The Lucha Bros – Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo, The Kingdom – Mike Bennett & Matt Taven, Top Flight – Dante & Darius Martin, La Faccion Ingobernable – Rush & Dralistico, and Aussie Open – Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher all took part in the bout, and as expected, it was as wild as could be.

At one point, Penta El Zero Miedo nailed Dante Martin with a Canadian Destroyer from a perched ladder through four tables at ringside. When Martin landed, he immediately grabbed at his lower leg obviously in a great deal of excruciating pain as officials surrounded him.

As the match came to an end, Martin could be seen being wheeled out of the arena, obviously injured. The Lucha Bros were able to overcome the other teams in the bout to capture the ROH Tag Team Championship.

While the extent of any injury has not been confirmed, it is more bad news for Top Flight whose progress as a team has been hampered in the past by two serious injuries suffered by Darius Martin.
