Full Jay Briscoe Celebration Of Life Released By ROH

Jay Briscoe ROH Celebration Of Life stage

Ring of Honor has released a full three-hour tribute show to celebrate the life and career of Hall of Famer and Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe.

On January 17th, 2023, the wrestling world was stunned to learn that Jamin Pugh, a.k.a. Jay Briscoe, died in a car crash at 38 years old. Since then, tributes have poured in from all over the world and the wrestling industry has come together to honor the fallen wrestler and devoted father.

After apparently originally being blocked by Warner Bros. Discovery from airing a tribute to Briscoe, the 25th of January edition of the show did just that as Jay’s tag team partner and brother Mark Briscoe took to the ring to face another Ring of Honor stalwart, Jay Lethal, in the main event.

However, after the 18th of January edition of Dynamite, Tony Khan filmed a Celebration of Life special to pay respect to Jay Briscoe under the Ring of Honor banner. The matches from that taping as well as interviews with stars that shared a locker room and a ring with Briscoe have been used alongside some of Jay Briscoe’s finest in-ring moments to form a three-hour special which has now been released on Ring of Honor’s YouTube channel.

A fundraising effort is still open to anyone that wants to send their support to Jay Briscoe’s family and that can be done here and a Jay Briscoe memorial shirt is also available with 100% of the proceeds going to Briscoe’s family.
