Ever since Chelsea Green made her WWE return, she has established herself as one of the most entertaining acts in the women’s division.

No matter the segment that WWE books her in, Chelsea is able to adapt and deliver an entertaining performance. This also helped her get over with the fans despite the fact that she is a heel. The fans rallied behind her for many months, which forced WWE to make a major decision and make her the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. As Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea continued to deliver spectacular performances on SmackDown. She was so entertaining that WWE even sent her down to work with Ethan Page on NXT.

Chelsea Green credits her success to the fan support she received

Speaking with Kat Siggers on Spotlight, Chelsea Green was asked whether winning a title nobody had previously won was different from chasing a title. Chelsea replied that she won the Women’s United States Championship because the fans got behind her and forced WWE to make that decision. She also said that her name can never be erased from the history books because she will always be remembered for being the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.

“I won it because the fans got so behind me that they forced WWE to make that decision. Like truly. I felt like I didn’t just win it for myself. I won it for all the people that were cheering for me. The moment that I went to hit my finisher in the ring, like you can see it, feel it and hear it if you go back and watch those clips. Now, because they pushed so hard for me and we collectively did it, that can never be erased from the history books. Until the day that I die, I will always be the first ever United States Women’s Champion and I love that. When I think about the packages that you see on TV for the titles, they have to include me because I was the first. It’s an exciting moment for me in my career because I knew there was going to be times when I might win championships and this and that, but you always think like what are you going to be remembered for? Chelsea Green is set to compete in a ladder match to crown the Interim WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam.
