AEW Star Reacts To Being Edited Out Of Commercial During WWE Raw

AEW Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe saw the funny side of not being featured in a commercial that aired during the broadcast of the July 31st WWE Raw.

The Ring of Honor TV Champion recently made his acting debut on the TV adaptation of Twisted Metal, where Joe plays the physical role of Sweet Tooth. The character’s voice is provided by Lego Batman and Bojack Horseman star Will Arnett.

The series has been released in full on the Peacock streaming platform, which is also the home to WWE Premium Live Events and documentaries in the United States.

With adverts being broadcast on Raw, many fans were surprised when Joe’s character could not be seen in the promotional material, with Sweet Tooth being edited out of any commercial that was broadcast during WWE’s flagship show.

With the former WWE star being known for having an aggressive in-ring demeanour, the reaction to the exclusion was more light hearted.

Taking to social media, Samoa Joe would simply post the caption y’all know with multiple laughter emojis. Multiple comments on the post also saw the funny side of the reference by the former TNT Champion.

When Did Samoa Joe Leave WWE For AEW?

Samoa Joe was one of many WWE Superstars who were released in the pandemic era due to budget cuts by the company, being cut in April 2021. However, Joe was quickly brought back to the company in June, returning on the NXT brand. Following a record setting third reign with the title, Joe relinquished the championship due to injury, and was released for a second time in January 2022.

Signing with Tony Khan owned Ring of Honor, The Samoan Submission Machine made the shock appearance at the end of the ROH pay-per-view Supercard of Honor XV, coming to the aide of then Ring of Honor Champion Jonathan Gresham. Joe captured the ROH Television Champion in April 2022, still reigning with the championship following a successful defence against Dalton Castle at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on July 21st.
