The trailer has been released for a new documentary covering the life and career of WWE superstar “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes has mentioned the Peacock crew has been following around since his return to WWE over a year ago and now we finally know when we will get to see the documentary. It’s going to premiere on the Peacock streaming service on Monday, July 31st.

Peacock has posted the one-minute trailer for the documentary titled “Becoming Cody Rhodes” that will take viewers behind the scenes as they tell the story about Cody’s incredible pro wrestling career.

In the video, there are interviews with Cody Rhodes himself along with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, Ric Flair, Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes, Cody’s sister Teil, Kevin Owens, and The Undertaker.

The trailer will cover Cody’s career in pro wrestling as he tries to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father Dusty Rhodes and brother Dustin Rhodes. Cody started in WWE in 2006, left ten years later, and thrived in the indies from 2016 until AEW’s launch in early 2019. In 2022, his AEW deal expired and he chose to return to WWE. That led to a 2023 Royal Rumble win and a main event match at WrestleMania 39.

There were some interesting comments from Kevin Owens in the clip that Peacock shared.

“Vince McMahon even flew to his house to get him back. Not many people can say they did that.”

That’s very true and something that has been commented on by Cody Rhodes in the past. It was likely a big reason why Cody Rhodes chose to go back to WWE because he knew he would be presented as a major star, which was different than his last run in WWE when he was still doing the Stardust gimmick in 2016.
