AEW could be in an unstable situation, according to an insider’s alleged claim. It is also alleged that Warner Bros. thinks Tony Khan’s claims are a joke.

Ever since its inception in 2019, AEW has been in a TV and media partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. The company’s weekly shows have been airing on WBD’s TV channels, TBS and TNT. At the beginning of 2025, WBD renewed the deal with All Elite Wrestling and also included the streaming rights of Dynamite and Collision every week on HBO Max.

However, Tony Khan’s promotion might be in trouble after the recent news of Paramount acquiring WBD, which could be the end of AEW’s TV and streaming on TBS, TNT, and HBO Max. The deal between WBD and Paramount is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of this year, and fans are already expressing concern regarding the future of All Elite Wrestling.

Meanwhile, Nick LoPiccolo, who worked for the Paradigm talent agency for years, claims to have some inside information. Paradigm is known for managing popular Hollywood stars as well as top wrestling stars, including CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Jade Cargill, and more. LoPiccolo is also known for being an avid critic of Tony Khan.

Warner Bros. allegedly doesn’t think everything is fine about AEW

Speaking with Cassiy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Nick LoPiccolo claimed that Warner Bros. believes that it’s a joke that Tony Khan has been pretending that everything is good between AEW and WBD for the past year, because it’s not:

Privately… Warner Brothers thinks this is a joke and they can’t understand why Tony’s been acting like everything’s good for the last seven, eight months. It’s not.”

Nick LoPiccolo further claimed that Tony Khan doesn’t have an offer for AEW yet and is telling people that he is going to YouTube:

I’ve got confirmation that I think he’s taken two or three meetings around town already, doesn’t have an offer. He’s telling people he’s going to YouTube. By the way, I believe that Google/YouTube would offer an MG. I don’t think it’s gonna be near like what… first off, there was no way they’re getting 5 million.” [h/t Ringside News]

Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for All Elite Wrestling after the deal between WBD and Paramount.
