WWE Announces WrestleMania 40 Press Conference, How To Watch

wwe wrestlemania 40 press conference

There will be a huge WWE press conference to announce some of the big matches taking place at WrestleMania 40.

In the main event of WWE SmackDown in Birmingham, AL, it appeared as though Cody Rhodes was going to make it official that he was going to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania for the second year in a row.

While Cody made it clear he was still coming after ROman’s championship and he wants to win that championship, he said he’s not going to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

That led to The Rock making a surprise appearance. The Rock shook Cody’s hand, hugged Cody and Cody left the ring. That led to The Rock having a staredown with his cousin Roman Reigns.

It was never officially announced that Roman Reigns would face The Rock at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, but that was certainly implied. It has been reported that WWE originally planned on doing Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins against CM Punk, but due to Punk’s injury, The Rock pitched the idea to face Reigns and that is what WWE is going with.

As for Cody, it’s unknown when he might challenge Reigns or if he’ll use his WrestleMania 40 championship challenge against Raw’s World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

What we do know is that WWE is going to have a huge WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference this coming Thursday, February 8th in Las Vegas. Why Las Vegas? It’s probably because the NFL’s Super Bowl will be on Sunday, February 11th in Las Vegas so there will be a lot of sports media around.
