WWE Tribute To The Troops 2022 Airdate

WWE Tribute To The Troops

The WWE Tribute To The Troops special will be airing just a week before Christmas this year.

The 2022 edition of WWE Tribute to the Troops was taped after the November 11th edition of Smackdown in Indianapolis, Indiana. On that episode of Smackdown, The Usos defeated The New Day to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles as they set a record for the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history.

It was reported by PWInsider that WWE Tribute to the Troops will air on Saturday, December 17th on FOX. The airtime of the show will depend on when your local FOX affiliate chooses to air it. (Please Note: A graphic shown on the Monday, November 14 episode of Raw noted that the Troops show will actually be on Sunday, December 18th on Fox.)

WWE’s Tribute to the Troops specials have aired since December 2003, except for 2019. The event has been held in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain the troops that are over there. That stopped in 2010 when WWE chose to film the special in America instead.

The 2021 edition of Tribute to the Troops was headlined by Roman Reigns defeating Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event.

There were three matches taped for the 2022 Tribute show that will likely have a one-hour runtime.

* Imperium (Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) vs. Drew McIntyre, Sheamus & Ricochet

* Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Tamina & Emma

* Braun Strowman vs. LA Knight
