WWE Star Comments On Surprise NXT Return

NXT The Street Profits.

Angelo Dawkins has broken his silence regarding his cameo on NXT.

Appearing alongside Montez Ford, The Street Profits made the unannounced trip to Orlando for the August 29th episode. As seen in the segment, the duo met up with NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.

Following the appearance, Dawkins quoted the video on his social media with the following caption:

Been a while fam #WWENXT

The Profits did not return for the rest of the show, meaning that the crowd in attendance did not see them live.

It is currently unknown what is next for The Street Profits on Tuesday nights, as the appearance could mean multiple things. The former Tag Team Champions did mention that they used to hold the titles, so could be looking at one more reign in a return appearance. Carmelo Hayes was also asked what is next for the championship, potentially setting up Ford or Dawkins for a future title shot.

There is also the possibility that following their new alliance with Bobby Lashley, The Street Profits could be looking to recruit some new prospects to make the faction even stronger.

NXT Champion Shows Frustration

The running narrative throughout the show regarded Carmelo Hayes, who seemed unsure of himself after a recent title defence. Despite Melo successfully retaining the title against Ilja Dragunov at The Great American Bash, Hayes feels that there is an asterisk against the result and that it is tainted. Seen entering Shawn Michaels’ office, Hayes addressed Michaels by saying “We need to talk” as the camera faded out.
