WWE Raw Ratings Suffer Dip

WWE Raw has seen a drop in viewers for their most recent episode.

As reported by Wrestlenomics, the August 14th edition of Raw drew an average auidence of 1.757 million viewers and obtained an 18-49 rating of 0.55.

Comparing this to the August 7th episode of the flagship show, which drew an average audience of 1.888 million viewers, the drop calculates to approximately 7%. Raw also saw a dip in key demo viewership, as the previous week’s show also obtained a rating of 0.61.

As reported by Spoiler TV, Raw ranked 1st overall for key demographic viewership on Monday night despite the lower ratings. However, the NFL Pre-Season is currently underway, meaning that Monday Night Football is due to return on September 11th, which will see The Buffalo Bills take on The New York Jets in week 1.

What Happened On WWE Raw?

Continuing on from the shocking conclusion of the August 7th episode, Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins met face-to-face in the ring. World Heavyweight Champion Rollins knew that Nakamura got his attention so that he could get a shot at the title, which proved to be a successful strategy as Rollins agreed to the future encounter.

With the tag team division in need of some fresh teams, Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre would have a successful week as the defeated former Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders. Continuing on from the victory, The Scottish Warrior revealed he is looking for suggestions for team names.

Also on Monday Night, Chelsea Green heavily protested relinquishing the Women’s Tag Team Championships due to a serious injury sustained to partner Sonya Deville. Just as it looked like Adam Pearce had no other choice, an unlikely ally came to the aid of Green and allowed her to remain as champion.
