What WWE Could Be Planning For The Rock’s Final Match
The Rock could make a grand-scale appearance in WWE at WrestleMania 43.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is currently a member of the board of directors in TKO, WWE’s owners, was last seen on WWE TV at the Elimination Chamber PLE in 2025, where he facilitated John Cena’s heel turn.
The Final Boss then disappeared from television and returned to working in Hollywood. His work in the new film ‘The Smashing Machine earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor (Drama).
Now, news is circulating about The Rock’s potential appearance at WrestleMania 43 in 2027 for a mammoth fee. According to Dave Meltzer’s report, WWE and Saudi officials are planning for The People’s Champion’s largest payday ever, with an offer never before seen in wrestling history to get him to wrestle in what could be his final match.
WWE Legend The Rock Addresses Recent Talks About His Final Match
In an interview with Raffi Talks on January 20, The Rock was asked about his status for WrestleMania 43. He was vague with his answers, but also showed promise.
I can tell you that I’m excited for the brand of WrestleMania. I’m excited for the Kingdom because that is a big show… and I can’t wait. In terms of the conversations I’ve been having, good or bad?—Well, it’s all good. It will always be good.
Industry insider Andrew Baydala recently pointed out the fact that if The Rock’s Hollywood career has him occupied, a return to the ring would be difficult.
If the movie career really takes off… and he has a great match in Saudi and he’s unavailable to do anything else, the guy is getting up there in age. I know there’s hesitation from The Rock’s camp.
All things considered, if the offer is big enough, there’s definitely a chance that The Final Boss will consider it.
