Nikki Bella is still not medically cleared to compete at WrestleMania 42.

The Bella Twins are scheduled to compete in a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against the teams of Nia Jax & Lash Legend, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria.

However, a few weeks before her Mania match, the Fearless star suffered an ankle injury during the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. She rolled her ankle during an exchange with Charlotte Flair.

Initially, it was believed to be a minor sprain, and she was seen wearing a walking boot. However, she recently underwent an MRI, which revealed a more serious high ankle sprain.

Last week on Monday Night Raw, legendary announcer Michael Cole confirmed her injury on live TV and informed fans that she is currently undergoing intensive physical therapy and rehab.

Cole said, “Nikki Bella suffered that ankle injury a couple weeks ago and she’s undergoing efforts to rehab in time to compete for the match at WrestleMania. So, good luck to Nikki as she gets ready for WrestleMania 12 nights away.”

Either The Kabuki Warriors Or The Judgement Day Will Replace The Bella Twins If Nikki Bella Is Not Cleared For WrestleMania

Following Nikki Bella’s injury, reports suggested that WWE is planning to replace the Bella Twins with the Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania if she is not cleared in time.

According to a new update from WrestleVotes during a Q&A session, WWE might also consider the duo of Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of the Judgment Day as a replacement option. However, WWE is still largely hopeful that Nikki Bella will be able to compete.

“If Nikki Bella isn’t cleared, they’ll throw another team in there—whether that be The Kabuki Warriors or they can go with Roxanne and Raquel very easily. I know there’s hope that The Bella Twins make it.” [H/T Ringside News]

On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole provided another update, stating that Nikki is still rehabbing from her ankle injury but hopes to be ready and back in action by Sunday.

Cole informed, “Nikki Bella’s still rehabbing from an ankle injury, hopes to be ready by Sunday.”

Some reports claim that if Nikki Bella gets cleared in time for WrestleMania, then Asuka of the Kabuki Warriors will go on to have a singles match with Io Sky at the Showcase of Immortals this year.
