One WWE official apologized for an over-the-top performance on the most recent episode of SmackDown.

The Black Friday edition of SmackDown saw Charles Robinson referee the main event bout as The Usos took on Drew McIntyre and Sheamus for a chance to secure the WarGames advantage for their respective teams. In the end, Sheamus and McIntyre were victorious, ensuring that their team had the advantage when they took on The Bloodline at Survivor Series.

Robinson received criticism for his performance in the match as he could be seen making a number of comical faces and reacting in a cartoonish fashion as the action unfolded. Taking to social media, the veteran referee apologized for his over-the-top behavior, calling his reactions “silly.”

“I apologize for the silly reactions on @wwe #smackdown. I am ridiculous. I try and try to stop reacting but can’t. I know when “people “ talk about refs over selling it’s about me. #wrestling #friday”

Despite The Bloodline being at a disadvantage during the bout, they eventually emerged victorious inside WarGames after Sami Zayn not only saved Roman Reigns from a pinfall at the hands of Kevin Owens, but also proved his full loyalty when he hit his longtime friend with a dastardly low blow.

The November 25th episode of SmackDown also saw Becky Lynch return to WWE for the first time since being written off television the night after suffering a shoulder injury at SummerSlam. Lynch was revealed as the fifth member competing inside WarGames alongside Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and Mia Yim as they took on the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley. Lynch scored the pinfall victory for her team at Survivor Series when she pinned Dakota Kai.
