Triple H Credits Becky Lynch For WarGames Performance
Triple H has paid tribute to Becky Lynch for her performance in WarGames just a few short months after suffering a serious injury.
Becky Lynch stunned the wrestling world on the SmackDown before Survivor Series when she was unexpectedly named the fifth member of Bianca Belair’s WarGames team.
The addition of Lynch proved to be shrewd for Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Mia Yim as The Man proved decisive, nailing Dakota Kai and IYO SKY with a huge leg drop from the top of the cage through a table for the win.
Becky Lynch’s involvement in the match is even more remarkable considering she suffered a separated shoulder in her Raw Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam – less than three months before setting foot in the WarGames cage.
Speaking at the post-show press conference, Triple H singled out Becky Lynch for credit for her toughness and perseverance to be able to compete in such a physical match on her first night back:
“The level of commitment that comes from our talent, for things like that is tough for people that aren’t doing this, they don’t have that level of physicality that don’t do this on a daily basis to understand but my hats off to The Man. Hats of to Becky for stepping in this matter coming off that injury and to everybody that was out there tonight. This is not an easy thing to do and they knocked it out of the park.”
