Why WWE Star Nikki Bella Left Her Surgeon In Shock

Nikki Bella’s surgeon was in disbelief after watching her WWE match.

Ahead of WrestleMania 42, Nikki Bella suffered a serious ankle injury during a tag team match between The Bella Twins and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair on SmackDown.

The WWE Hall of Famer later underwent surgery to repair her ankle, forcing her to miss nearly three months of action. She recently returned on the blue brand to save her twin sister, Brie, and Paige from a post-match attack by Fatal Influence. The Bella Twins are now scheduled to team up with The Anti-Diva to fight Jacy Jayne’s group in a six-woman tag team match at SummerSlam.

Nikki Bella’s Surgeon Couldn’t Believe How She Continued Her WWE Match

Despite breaking her ankle during her tag team match, Nikki Bella continued to perform. The match ended with The Bella Twins beating Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

During the most recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, the twin sisters recalled Nikki’s surgeon being shocked that The Fearless One had continued competing despite the severity of her injury.

Brie: The doctor literally, when I picked her up from surgery, she was out of it. Well, one, he’s like, ‘Holy sh*t! Pretty much you guys look so much alike, I can’t believe it.’ And he goes, ‘I had to go watch that match 20 times cuz I don’t know how she kept wrestling with everything she did to her ankle.’ He goes, ‘And I’m watching a girl. She picks up a girl. You come…’ The Heart Attack move. And he’s like describing it to me. I’m like, ‘Oh, The Heart Attack.’ He goes, ‘How’d she do that with a broken?

Nikki: The double suplex. That put like fire through my brain.

Brie: He was tripping out. I mean, he literally said he had to watch the match 20 times. This is a high-level surgeon who works on pro baseball players, pro football players, like, you name it. You fly to Birmingham to go to this guy. And Nicole literally was like blowing his mind. (21:36 onwards)
