WWE Considering NXT Stars For New Main Roster Stable
WWE could be looking to NXT to find new partners for Santos Escobar following his split from the LWO.
Santos Escobar attacked Rey Mysterio to end his stint in the LWO after Carlito accused Escobar of being complicit in Mysterio losing the WWE US Title to Logan Paul.
Rey Mysterio will be out of action until 2024 after undergoing knee surgery which leaves the rest of the group to do battle with Escobar in his absence. Carlito and Santos Escobar will go one-on-one in a grudge match at Survivor Series but more could be on the way.
Santos Escobar To Get New Group In WWE?
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE has been considering NXT pair Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo to side with Escobar:
Los Lotharios were one of the ideas was for them to join Santos. And actually, originally, before the Rey-Santos thing, there was talk of them joining with Rey. That’s definitely been in conversations.
Dave Meltzer also noted that Dragon Lee is set to become embroiled in the storyline with Rey Mysterio, joining Mysterio in his fight against Escobar.
