A major tag team could head back to WWE soon after being away from the promotion for almost a decade.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass were a very popular tag team in the Stamford-based promotion. They were released from the company in 2018 for separate reasons.

Enzo was fired in January 2018 following a breach of protocol regarding legal trouble. In January 2018, it was made public that the Phoenix Police Department was investigating Enzo for an alleged sexual assault.

He was not released because he was accused, but because he had hidden the ongoing investigation from management. The sexual assault investigation was dropped in May 2018 due to insufficient evidence.

A few months after Enzo Amore was released, WWE also let go of Big Cass due to a pattern of behavioral issues, insubordination, and personal struggles. Cass later disclosed his struggles with severe anxiety, depression, and a significant alcohol dependency towards the end of his WWE tenure, which clearly fueled his erratic behaviours.

Enzo Amore And Big Cass Might Return To WWE In The Near Future

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select recently reported that WWE is interested in reuniting the pair, and hence, the duo could be on their way back to the Stamford-based promotion. The report mentioned that Enzo and Cass still maintain a positive relationship with many producers backstage, including some who worked with them during their NXT days.

The report highlighted that Big Cass, who currently goes by the name Big Bill, is under contract with AEW, which is said to expire in May. It was also mentioned that Enzo Amore was recently spotted at WWE’s Performance Center on Tuesday, according to False Finish, and Self Made Pro reported that WWE and Enzo Amore recently made contact.

This is a very positive update regarding Enzo and Cass’ potential return to the Stamford-based promotion. The duo was a fan favorite during their time in the promotion, and fans loved them.
