WWE Announces Ex-Champion Is Heading To NXT
NXT is set to add a new talent to its roster.
During Stand & Deliver on Saturday, WWE ran a video package, announcing that Kali Armstrong was NXT-bound following her successful stint in Evolve.
Armstrong also holds the distinction of being the inaugural Evolve Women’s Champion, the title she won during the April 25, 2025, taping of the show in a four-way elimination match.
On her way to glory, she defeated Kendal Grey, Kylie Rae, and Wendy Choo. Armstrong’s title reign lasted 151 days before she lost it to Grey at Succession.
Kali has previously competed on WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, where she defended her title against Karmen Petrovic on the June 15 episode.
The vignette run by WWE described Armstrong as “fast, strong, dominant, and different.”

Multiple WWE Titles Change Hands at NXT Stand & Deliver
While the wrestling world awaits Kali Armstrong’s official entry in NXT, the company’s developmental brand put on an incredible show on Saturday, witnessing multiple title changes.
In the opening match of the evening, Jacy Jayne defended her Women’s Championship against Lola Vice and Kendal Grey. However, the two-time WWE Champion was unable to retain her gold after getting laid out by a Lola Vice back fist.
The Men’s NXT Championship also crowned a new hero when Tony D’Angelo won the title for the first time in his career.
D’Angelo faced Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Joe Hendry, who had held the title for 60 days.
Hendry was the victim of numerous offensive moves from Page and Saints before D’Angelo neutralized them by putting them through the commentator’s desk.
He then went into the ring and hit Hendry with a third spear before finishing him off with his signature move, Dead to Rights.
Also on the show, Tatum Paxley, Myles Borne, and The Vanity Project retained their respective titles. In the only non-title match, Sol Ruca defeated her former best friend, Zaria.
