Triple H Touts Success Of Overlooked WWE Show

Triple H WWE

Triple H is very happy about the success of a WWE show that isn’t necessarily the most popular among fans of the company.

The WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque is in charge of everything that the company does from a creative standpoint. That means he oversees the content on the WWE main roster including Raw, Smackdown and PLE shows.

In addition to those shows, WWE also introduced a brand new show called WWE Speed this past April. The matches on WWE Speed are three minutes in length while championship matches have a five-minute time limit. This is different than regular WWE matches, which don’t have a specific time limit.

Ricochet was the first WWE Speed champion, but Andrade beat him for the title on June 14th when it aired even though it was taped a week earlier. While he is the Speed Champion, Andrade doesn’t carry that title around on Smackdown, so it feels as if it’s an entirely different entity away from the main WWE roster.

Triple H went on Twitter/X, which where WWE Speed airs exclusively, to mention that the first 20 million episodes of Speed have averaged about 1.5 million views, which would mean an audience of about 30 million views so far.

#WWESpeed is averaging an astounding 1.5 million views per episode on @X. 20 episodes in, and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned…

Triple H Likes The Excitement Of WWE Speed

While speaking about WWE Speed shortly after it launched in the spring, Triple H said he likes WWE Speed because the wrestlers have no time to waste.

“If we could take sort of that feeling out process that talent have in the ring with each other and just have them go from go for broke right when the bell rings, because they only have three minutes to get the job done”

“So there’s no [time to waste]. [Competitors have to get] to an ending quickly. It makes for an exciting challenge for the guys. It makes for an exciting challenge for eventually what will be for the women as well. And so far, it’s been spectacular. The talent have really embraced this and gotten into it and the challenge of it. So it’s been exciting for them, and it’s been exciting for our fans as well.”

This week’s WWE Speed match was between Baron Corbin and Angelo Dawkins. You can check it below.
