Triple H Issued Major Warning To Jey Uso Before Huge WWE Push
Triple H warned Jey Uso before his huge push.
Uso’s rise in WWE as a singles competitor began in mid-2020. During this period, he was heavily featured in the Bloodline storyline, often clashing with his cousin, Roman Reigns.
His first shot at a major title came at Clash of Champions 2020 after winning a fatal 4-way match to decide the #1 contender for the Universal Championship.
Though he would lose to Reigns, as expected, his star power rose in the coming months.
WWE: Unreal, the Stamford promotion’s latest docuseries, offers fans insight into Jey Uso’s meteoric rise and the warning Triple H gave him before his huge push.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H revealed what he told ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso.
I had a conversation with him just to say, like, this is everything you’ve ever wanted, right? Like, your own spotlight, your own moment, your own this, all that stuff. Like, this is a different level of success for you, but it can all go away in the blink of an eye because you get complacent. You can’t be wheezing after your entrance because you’re too blown up to get up and your sh*t. And he said, ‘Man, I get it. I get it.’ So, let’s hope.
Uso defeated Gunther at WrestleMania 41 to claim his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Triple H To Confront The Rock At SummerSlam?
Reports about a fight for creative control in WWE have prevailed for a few months.
Triple H, who is at the helm of production, has done a commendable job, but not everyone is on board with his ideas. One of these names is allegedly The Rock.
Stories have emerged claiming the duo clashed at WrestleMania 41 over creative differences.
Former WWE tag team champion Bully Ray discussed bringing this angle into SummerSlam during a recent Busted Open podcast.
This will never happen, but you want to get a holy sh*t moment. You want 50,000 people standing on their feet in complete wide-eyed amazement because they can’t believe what they’re seeing. Hit Triple H’s music. Put Hunter in the middle of the ring face to face-to-face with The Rock, because of the underlying story of the tension. We don’t know about this on television, but we’ve seen enough backstage footage where The Rock has told Triple H to eff off, or we’ve heard some spattering of things. Could you imagine Triple H and The Rock face to face for a moment?
Whether or not the confrontation between the heavyweights occurs remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Jey Uso will partner with Roman Reigns to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match at SummerSlam.
