Top AEW Star Banged Up After Dynamite Match
A big name was in pain after taking a brutal bump in the main event of AEW Dynamite.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite from Jacksonville, the undefeated team of Sting & Darby Allin defeated Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke in a Texas Tornado match.
Since it was a Tornado Tag Team match, the four wrestlers fought all around the Daily’s Place venue, which included some big moves like Allin jumping off the bleachers with a Coffin Drop on Takeshita. As for Sting, he got the win for his team with a Scorpion Death Drop off a wall that was about 10 feet high and sent Sting & Hobbs crashing through a table. Sting pinned Hobbs on the floor at ringside.
During the match, there was a brutal spot where Hobbs & Takeshita held Allin by the limbs and tossed him across the ring leading to Allin’s head/neck hitting the bottom rope hard. Those ropes are stiff cables, so if you hit them like that, it’s going to hurt.
According to Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline on his message board, Allin was hurting from the bump:
“Actually I was told the neck bump into the ropes really messed Darby up in that match.”

Sting Got To Choose His Opponents At AEW Revolution
Following the Dynamite main event, The Young Bucks duo of Matt & Nick Jackson appeared with thin mustaches. It was their first time on AEW television in about two months.
While the match isn’t official yet, it appears as though Sting’s retirement match at the Revolution will be a tag team match with Allin against The Young Bucks. According to the Wrestling Observer, the match was Sting’s choice.
Considering Sting is 27-0 during his AEW career (all tag team matches with Allin), it’s certainly possible that the Stinger ends his All Elite run with an undefeated record.
