Tony Khan has opened up about Jack Perry’s AEW future.

Jack Perry has been with AEW since the company’s inception in 2019. He started off as part of a faction with Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt.

However, Jack Perry ventured on a singles run when he turned heel. During this time, Perry dropped his Jungle Boy persona and adopted a more edgy character. He also became part of The Elite with the Young Bucks. Jack Perry also won the TNT Championship during this time. However, after losing the title, he was taken off TV for several months. When he returned, Jack Perry turned babyface and reunited with Luchasaurus. However, in recent weeks, there has been speculation that the former TNT Champion had not signed a new deal with Tony Khan’s company. This has caused a lot of fans to worry since they want Jack Perry to continue in AEW.

During the media call for AEW Forbidden Door, Tony Khan was asked about the reports that Jack Perry has not re-signed with AEW. Tony Khan didn’t confirm whether Jack Perry has re-signed a deal with his company. However, the AEW boss stated that he wants the former TNT Champion to remain in the Jacksonville-based promotion for a long time. Tony also praised Jack’s in-ring skills, and he said he is fond of him. He also said that he was happy to see the return of Jungle Boy Jack Perry and confirmed that the former TNT Champion will remain in his company for a long time.

“The plan for AEW and Jack is for Jack to be here for a long time. I have believed that Jack is a great wrestler for many years and I continue to feel that way. I like Jack very much. He has a very bright future in wrestling and a great mind for wrestling. It’s been really gratifying for me and fans to see the return of Jungle Jack Perry and seeing fans embrace Jack and the great matches he’s been having. The plan is for Jack Perry to be in AEW for a long time, so that’s going to happen,” he said. [H/T Ringside News]
