Spain has won the 2026 FIFA World Cup after WWE star Danhausen cursed Argentina.

Argentina reached the FIFA World Cup final after defeating England in the semi-finals, while Spain booked their place in the historic match by overcoming France.

After staging dramatic comebacks against Cape Verde and Egypt earlier in the tournament, Argentina failed to repeat the feat in tonight’s final. Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal deep into the second period of extra time to lead La Roja to victory.

The triumph marks Spain’s second FIFA World Cup title, adding to their historic victory in 2010.

WWE Star Danhausen Cursed Argentina Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final Against Spain

Ahead of tonight’s FIFA World Cup final, Danhausen was asked by a fan at Fanatics Fest which of the two finalists he would curse.

The WWE star did not hesitate to pick Argentina, the team whose jersey a fan was wearing. Danhausen’s choice sparked a huge reaction from the crowd.

The 35-year-old previously cursed the New York Knicks during the NBA Playoffs before lifting the curse and placing it on their opponents, projecting them to win the 2026 NBA Championship.

Danhausen’s curse appears to have worked once again, as Argentina failed to defend their FIFA World Cup title against Spain.
