Tony Khan Promises More Major AEW Signings After Ex-WWE Champion
Tony Khan has made clear that more new names are coming to AEW after he snapped up a former WWE champion.
Jake Doyle, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, Zayda Steel, Mascara Dorada, Persephone, Alec Price and Jordan Oliver have all been announced as signing AEW deals in 2026, and Tony Khan has also managed to get Andrade El Idolo back on his TV show after an aborted attempt at his return in 2025.
Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa made his AEW debut on the January 28th edition of Dynamite. Ciampa appeared to answer an open challenge from Mark Briscoe for the TNT Title, and that match took place three days later on Collision, with Ciampa winning the championship.
But despite bolstering his roster with a huge amount of talent, Tony Khan is not done.
Tony Khan Always Looking For Talent
Speaking with 107.7 The Bone’s Baby Huey, Tony Khan made clear that he’s always on the lookout for new talent to add to his roster:
I am constantly evaluating the market and scouting for fantastic wrestlers if they’re available to join AEW. And AEW’s where the best wrestle and it will be for a long time.
Khan recently lost Powerhouse Hobbs, who has since re-emerged as Royce Keys in WWE. The future of Chris Jericho also remains unresolved amid rumours he is set to make a WWE return.
