Tony Khan: Kyle Fletcher Will Be Out For Months; AEW Dynasty Plans Changed

Shocking news has emerged from AEW CEO Tony Khan on the status of Kyle Fletcher.

Tony Khan has just revealed that Kyle Fletcher will be out for months due to the injury he suffered on March 28th on AEW: Collision, where Fletcher teamed with fellow Don Callis Family member and Aussie Open teammate, Mark Davis, against The Rascalz.

There was much speculation around the TNT Champion’s injury, and now Tony Khan has confirmed the injury’s status.

Speaking on a media call ahead of AEW: Dynasty, which takes place on Sunday, April 12th, Khan was asked about how long Fletcher would be out of action due to his recent injury.

Khan has revealed that Fletcher is expected to be out for months, if not a whole year. This comes as a major disappointment for AEW fans and the creative team, who had Fletcher involved in many plans for AEW: Dynasty and beyond.

Khan said that Fletcher’s injury has affected the direction of future AEW shows and their planned directions. For instance, a planned match that won’t happen would be Okada & Fletcher vs. The Young Bucks.

Fletcher, who would have featured on Dynasty, will now have to vacate his TNT Championship, said Khan, as he is sure to be out for a good while.

A new champion will be crowned this Sunday at AEW Dynasty, where the vacant title will be decided in a Casino gauntlet match.

On the latest episode of Dynamite, Tomasso Ciampa faced Mascara Dorada in a qualifying match to determine the first entrant in the newly decided gauntlet match. Ciampa, who only lost the TNT title a couple of months ago, secured the victory and will start the match at number one.

The second entrant will be confirmed during Saturday’s Collision episode, when Rush faces Anthony Bowens.
