On Wednesday, AEW’s Dynamite episode came from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

On the same night, it also taped the upcoming Collision episode, with its go-home edition available to watch on Saturday.

Having previously been members of the Bullet Club in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, David Finlay, Clark Connors, and Gabe Kidd reunited in the Jacksonville-based company and were repackaged as The Dogs.

The trio has been involved in a feud with The Conglomeration. On Dynamite, they cut a backstage promo while taking turns to attack Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong.

They also sent a warning to the AEW World Trios Champions, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, “The Jet” Kevin Knight, and Mistico, who they were scheduled to challenge for the title at Collision.

JetSpeed, along with Mistico, won the titles from The Don Callis Family on March 15 by defeating Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis.

They successfully defended the belts against members of the Don Callis Family on two occasions, first on the March 22 episode of Collision, followed by CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular event on April 3.

On April 8, it was also announced that Fletcher would be out for an extended period due to an injury. As a result, he vacated his TNT Championship.

At Dynasty on April 12, a Casino Gauntlet Match will take place to crown the new champion.

The Dogs Become The New AEW World Trios Champions

The Dogs carried their momentum from AEW Dynamite into Collision for their match against JetSpeed and Mistico.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, David Finlay, Clark Connors, and Gabe Kidd defeated the high-flying trio to win the World Trios Championships.

The outcome ended the babyfaces’ 24-day reign. For The Dogs, this is their first championship in the company as a unit.
